SEEKING FAMILY VIOLENCE THERAPIST - MENTAL HEALTH SOCIAL WORKERS, PSYCHOLOGISTS (GENERALLY REGISTERED, COUNSELLING OR CLINICALLY ENDORSED AND/OR CLINICAL REGISTRARS) AND MENTAL HEALTH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

Wild Calm Therapies is a unique private practice based in Hobart and online. We provide specialised individual counseling for adults. Our client base is predominantly womxn wanting to take charge of their lives more, the LGBTIQ+ community and health and social services professionals. We are an established practice with a trusted reputation, and your case load will be built easily in a short amount of time. We have a high attendance rate and cancellation fees are charged to the client if less than 48 hours notice is provided for non-attendance/late cancellations. Rescheduled appointments are also often filled. We pride ourselves on minimal marketing and have steadily relied on word of mouth and recommendations, and have a very high return rate of past clients returning when they desire further support.

Practitioners typically see up to 6 clients (max) per day with short breaks booked between sessions for the therapist's self-care. This is a gradual build as you are promoted to the public and people are drawn to your offerings. Quality over quantity of client sessions is prioritised. We run as a virtual practice, with one worker on site at a time, due to our remote working and hybrid models. At Wild Calm Therapies we highly value who the therapist is as a person and value lived experiences in relation to our typical client groups (Use of Self, how they build relationships with clients, and authenticity). It is important to us to uphold and offer diversity. This makes it critical to find the right fit for us, so we will take our time with careful selection processes and thoughtful recruitment.

Wild Calm Therapies leads with heart and connection first. We model being real. This means we’re ok owning being imperfect. We practice balancing normalising this transparently while holding a grounding, containing position of expertise and experience in our specialty areas. We are conscious of the presence of power and work to create shared power in relationships, including from the inside with practitioners.

We’d love to hear from you. At this stage, we are accepting phone or email inquiries to commence the conversation. It would be ideal to include a short (2 min max) video introducing yourself, we love a personal touch, as well as a cover letter and CV. Then, we would ask you to come in for a chat in our space in person.

Wild Calm Therapies embodies being values driven and modelled throughout, and the recruitment process is no different. Our recruitment processes value pace (not rushing), space (no decisions from either you or us will be made any faster than one week), fairness (what is a fair contract arrangement), and connect (we need to both be honest about the fit).

We’d love to hear from you.
