Tayla is a clinical Social Worker and EMDR Therapist, registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia. Over the past decade, she has worked across Lutruwita/Tasmania, beginning with young people and families before moving into one-on-one therapy. For the past four years, Tayla has specialised in family violence and trauma recovery.
Tayla holds a somatic focus, drawing on modalities like Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Polyvagal Theory. Tayla will support you to listen to your body’s signals, restore nervous system balance, and reconnect with a felt sense of safety.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, pilates, reading fiction, and meandering walks with her adopted dog, Vinny. Tayla has lived in the beautiful Nipaluna, Hobart most of her life and is currently renovating a 104-year-old Hobart home.
