Neuro Somatic Circles | The Reclaimed Self Collective

A$300.00

A six-month Neuro Somatic Intelligence™ journey for womxn healing and rebuilding life after family violence and coercive control.

For womxn ready to reconnect with themselves, rebuild trust and create a life beyond survival.

Reconnecting with your body. Rebuilding self-trust. Reclaiming your life.

You survived.

Now comes the part no one really teaches.

How do you learn to trust yourself again?
To hear your own intuition after years of second-guessing?
To feel safe in your own body?
To stop living in survival mode when the danger has ended?

This is not a support group.

It is a guided, experiential journey that combines Neuro Somatic Intelligence (NSI), nervous system education and embodied practice to help you reconnect with yourself from the inside out.

Because healing isn't just understanding what happened with our cognitions.

It's teaching your nervous system that your life belongs to you again.

What to expect

  • Monthly 1-hour live online sessions (these will not be recorded for privacy purposes)

  • Six-month closed group

  • Women across Australia

  • Small, carefully held group

  • Practical nervous system regulation tools

  • Neuro Somatic and experiential practices

  • A trauma-informed space focused on rebuilding capacity, confidence and connection to self

This isn't about endlessly retelling your story. In fact, we won’t be relying on talking much at all.

It's about creating a new relationship with yourself, gently, slowly, with neuro somatic tools that address rebuilding safety by centring our nervous system as the foundation.

Nothing will be forced. There will be participation options to choose from depending on what feels right for you on the day (for example cameras off).

This isn't because you're failing to heal. At all.

Coercive control doesn't simply affect what you think.

It can change what you learn to expect, how to trust yourself and make decisions again. And have long term ramifications.

You may have spent a long time monitoring another person's mood, managing their reactions, avoiding conflict, suppressing your needs, questioning your own perceptions or adapting yourself to keep things calm.

Those responses weren't character flaws.

They were ways of navigating a situation that wasn't safe or predictable.

Your nervous system learned. It adapted. It became very good at detecting threat, anticipating what might happen next and protecting you.

Those adaptations may have helped you survive.

But after the relationship has changed or ended, they don't always switch off simply because you know you're safe now.

That's where this work begins.

This isn't about fixing you. There is nothing wrong with you that needs to be fixed.

The Reclaimed Self Collective is about understanding the patterns that developed for good reason—and gradually creating the conditions for something different.

We won't spend six months analysing everything that happened to you.

We won't require you to retell your story.

And we won't tell you to simply "move on."

Instead, we'll become curious about what is happening now.

What happens in your body when someone is disappointed with you?

What happens when you need to say no?

What happens when you make a decision for yourself?

What happens when someone is angry?

What happens when you don't know what someone else is thinking?

What happens when you put your own needs first?

These moments can tell us a great deal.

Your body is part of the healing.

You may already understand coercive control intellectually.

You may have read about trauma.

You may know that your responses were adaptive.

You may even be able to explain your patterns beautifully.

But understanding something cognitively doesn't automatically mean your nervous system has learned something different.

That's why this is an experiential collective.

Through Neuro Somatic Intelligence™ (NSI), we'll work with the relationship between:

What happens → What your nervous system detects → How your body responds → What your protective system does → What you do next

The aim isn't to eliminate your responses.

It's to understand them.

To recognise them earlier.

To develop capacity.

And, over time, create more space between what happens and what you automatically do.

That space is where choice begins.

Who this is for

The Reclaimed Self Collective is specifically for women who have experienced family violence, coercive control or emotionally abusive relationships and are ready to focus on rebuilding their relationship with themselves.

You might be:

  • Recently separated

  • Further along in your recovery

  • Years out of the relationship but still noticing its effects

  • Rebuilding after a long period of coercive control

  • Struggling with self-trust or decision-making

  • Finding boundaries difficult to maintain

  • Experiencing guilt when prioritising yourself

  • Still highly alert to other people's moods and reactions

  • Disconnected from your own wants, needs or preferences

  • Finding it difficult to know what you actually feel

  • Wanting to reconnect with your body

  • Ready to build a life based on your own choices rather than someone else's expectations

You don't have to be "fully healed." You don't have to have everything figured out.

And you don't have to identify with the word "survivor." You simply need to recognise that you want more of yourself back.

It’s for

People who identify as womxn who have experienced family violence, coercive control or emotionally abusive relationships and are ready to move beyond surviving and begin rebuilding a life that feels like their own.

Whether your relationship ended recently or years ago, this group is for women wanting practical tools, compassionate community and a different way of healing beyond rehashing and talking only.

This is an inclusive group for womxn identifying folks. Given that family violence is largely gender based, it is highly likely the group will consist of many/predominantly cis-women, however it will remain an inclusive group open to all who identify as womxn.

What we're actually working towards

Not becoming someone completely different. Coming back into relationship with the person underneath the adaptations.

Over time, we'll begin with the foundations of nervous system awareness and gradually build your ability to recognise, understand and work with your own patterns.

We'll explore:

Your nervous system

Learning to recognise what activation, settling, shutdown and overwhelm actually feel like for you.

Your patterns

Beginning to notice what reliably happens when something feels threatening, uncertain, uncomfortable or emotionally charged.

Your protective responses

Understanding the strategies your system may have developed to keep you safe—without shaming yourself for having them.

Your capacity

Learning to recognise your limits and early warning signs rather than continually overriding them.

Choice

Practising the possibility of pausing, creating space and responding differently.

Self-trust

Beginning to reconnect with your own signals, preferences, instincts and decisions.

This isn't about becoming regulated all the time.

It's about becoming increasingly able to notice, understand and choose.

What makes this different?

There are plenty of places where you can talk about what happened.

There are also plenty of places where you can learn about trauma, coercive control and recovery.

This is different.

The Reclaimed Self Collective focuses on what happens inside you now.

Because after prolonged coercive control, you may know intellectually that:

"I am allowed to say no."

But your body might respond:

"No isn't safe."

You may know:

"I don't need to keep everyone happy."

But your nervous system might respond:

"If they're unhappy with me, something bad could happen."

You may know:

"I can trust myself."

But years of having your reality questioned may have made that incredibly difficult to feel.

We work in the space between knowing and embodying.

What happens in the Collective?

Each monthly session combines:

  • Accessible nervous system education

  • Neuro Somatic Intelligence™ tools

  • Guided somatic and experiential practices

  • Light reflection, connection, time spent in company

You won't be expected to tell your story.

You won't be put on the spot.

You won't be required to disclose personal information.

You can participate at a level that feels appropriate for you.

The focus is not on repeatedly revisiting the past.

It's on developing your relationship with yourself in the present.

The structure

Six-month closed collective - The same women remain together for the duration of the experience.

One hour each month - A manageable, contained commitment alongside the rest of your life.

Live online - Join from anywhere in Australia.

Small group - Intentionally limited to create a more personal, carefully held experience.

Experiential - You'll learn through doing—not just listening.

Accessible - The collective is intentionally priced to make consistent participation more achievable.

What you might notice changing

This work isn't about promising a particular outcome or suggesting that six months can erase what you've lived through.

But you may begin to notice things such as:

  • Catching your stress response earlier

  • Recognising when you're automatically appeasing

  • Understanding why certain situations feel disproportionately difficult

  • Becoming clearer about what you actually want

  • Making decisions with less second-guessing

  • Noticing guilt without automatically obeying it

  • Feeling more connected to your body

  • Recognising your own boundaries

  • Having more capacity for difficult emotions

  • Experiencing more choice in situations that previously felt automatic

Small shifts can matter enormously.

Because sometimes reclaiming yourself isn't one dramatic moment.

It's a thousand tiny moments of: "Actually, I choose this."

This is not about becoming fearless.

You may still feel anxious.

You may still have difficult days.

You may still have moments where an old response takes over.

Healing doesn't mean your nervous system never reacts.

It means you become increasingly able to recognise:

What's happening.

Why it's happening.

What you need.

And what you want to do next.

That's the work of becoming more Self-Led.

You don't have to become who you were before.

Maybe that version of you doesn't exist anymore. Maybe she adapted. Maybe she survived.

Maybe she became very good at reading the room, keeping the peace, anticipating problems and putting herself last.

You don't need to go backwards. You get to discover who you are now when your life has more room for choice.

The Reclaimed Self Collective is a place to begin. Your life belongs to you. Let's begin learning what that feels like.

Who this isn't for

The Reclaimed Self Collective is not:

  • Group therapy

  • Trauma processing

  • Crisis support

  • A space for detailed retelling of traumatic experiences

  • Legal advice

  • A replacement for individual therapeutic support

  • A program promising to "fix" trauma in six months

This is a trauma-informed, educational and experiential group focused on nervous system awareness, practical NSI tools, self-trust and rebuilding capacity.

If you are currently experiencing significant danger, ongoing violence or coercive control, or require crisis or therapeutic intervention, individual specialist support may be more appropriate right now for 1:1 support.

What is Neuro Somatic Intelligence™?

Neuro Somatic Intelligence (NSI) is an integrative framework bringing together neuroscience, psychology, nervous system education and embodied practice.

It recognises that our responses aren't simply cognitive.

We think.

We feel.

We sense.

We respond.

We protect.

We connect.

And much of what happens in our nervous system occurs before we consciously decide what to do.

NSI provides a way of becoming curious about these patterns without reducing you to them.

Your nervous system is part of your story. It is not your identity.

What the approach draws from

The work is informed by evidence-informed principles and theories including:

  • Neuroscience and neuroplasticity

  • Interoception and embodied awareness

  • Autonomic nervous system science

  • Attachment theory

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Somatic psychology

  • Compassion-focused approaches

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Schema-informed understanding of patterns and protective strategies

  • Relational approaches to psychological wellbeing

These frameworks provide context and understanding. But this isn't an academic course.

We'll spend less time learning terminology and more time noticing what is actually happening in you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy?

No. The Reclaimed Self Collective is an educational and experiential NSI group, not group psychotherapy. My therapeutic background informs the way the group is designed and facilitated, but this service is not a substitute for individual therapy or trauma treatment.

Do I need to be recently separated?

No. There is no particular timeframe. Some women may be relatively recently out of a relationship. Others may have been separated for years and still notice the effects of coercive control showing up in their nervous system, relationships or sense of self. The focus is where you are now.

What if I'm still dealing with my ex-partner?

This depends on your circumstances. The group is focused on recovery and rebuilding yourself rather than managing an active family violence situation. If you are currently experiencing ongoing violence, threats or coercive control, the learnings, tools and practices in this group are likely still going to be appropriate for your overall stress and functioning. We ask that you carefully consider your safety - you are the wise expert in your situation. If you determine additional specialist safety support is needed please obtain that. Your safety comes first.

Do I have to talk about what happened?

No. There is no requirement to tell your story or disclose traumatic experiences. The focus is on developing awareness of your present-day nervous system and patterns.

Will this involve trauma processing?

No. This isn't a trauma-processing group. We may acknowledge how past experiences can shape present-day protective patterns, but we won't be doing detailed trauma processing or exposure work.

What if I don't know what my nervous system is doing?

That's completely okay. That's part of what you'll learn. You don't need to arrive knowing the terminology or being able to identify your nervous system states. We'll start simply, inclusively, non-judgementally.

What if I'm very disconnected from my body?

You are not expected to suddenly become highly body-aware. For some women, tuning into the body can initially feel uncomfortable, unfamiliar or even unsafe. Practices will be invitational and introduced gradually. The goal is not to force awareness or change. It's to gently, gradually build a relationship with your internal experience at a pace that is appropriate for you. It would be completely expected and normal to have many people in this group have come from past or present experiences of disembodiment, disassociation and disconnection - that is ok.

Is this a support group?

No. Connection, familiarity and peer support (even by quietly witnessing and gathering) are important parts of the experience, but this isn't primarily a peer support group. It is a structured, facilitated NSI learning and experiential collective. You'll have community and practical tools. If you choose to connect of your own accord with each other and meet up outside of the group, by all means - that is completely fine, encouraged and up to you - no pressure at all.

What if I already have a therapist?

That's absolutely possible. The collective has a different purpose from individual therapy and may complement existing therapeutic work.

What happens if I miss a session?

We get it - it happens. Wherever possible continuity and consistency matter. Unfortunately the sessions won’t be recorded for privacy reasons.

Why only one hour a month?

Because this is designed around integration rather than information overload. We honour everyone’s capacity and existing full lives. You also don't need another six hours of content every month. You more than likely need a small amount of meaningful learning, an opportunity to experience it, and time to notice what happens when you take it into your actual life.

Why six months?

Because self-trust and nervous system awareness aren't things you can download. They're developed through repeated experience. Six months gives you time to notice patterns, practise new responses and begin recognising what changes. Every time this Collective is run it will go for 6 months. You can do as many 6 month rounds as you like. They will each build and develop and cover a different topic or theme.

Is it available across Australia?

Yes. The collective is delivered online and is open to women anywhere in Australia.

A note for lived experience workers

If you're a lived experience worker or helping professional with your own history of family violence or coercive control, you may find that either the Reclaimed Self Collective or the Practitioner Collective feels like the better fit for you.

There isn't a right or wrong choice. Consider what you most need from the space at this point in your life—whether that's a focus on your own recovery and reconnection with Self, or a professional space to explore your practice through an NSI lens.

We trust you to know what feels most appropriate for you, and you're welcome to choose the group that best fits your current needs.

If this feels like the next step in your healing, register and claim your seat at purchase. You’ll be in the next group. We commence 2027 together.

Affordability

We really want you to be able to access this sustainably and reasonably without breaking the bank. This is priced at $50 per monthly session, for 6 months. The total for the full 6 months participation equals only slightly more than one single therapy session would cost. There is a payment plan option if paying the total up front is not an option.

You do not need a referral or MHCP and this program intentionally is not set up for one.

This cost is heavily reduced already and the out of pocket is the same as what you’d pay if you went to the GP for a MHCP for group work anyway. We have removed the need to add another layer of logistics, cost and gatekeeping by saying you don’t need to go to the GP. We hope this makes sense - happy to chat more anytime.

If cost still remains a prohibiting factor in your participation, please contact us directly to discuss.
